We'll see how long this lasts, but I am going to start posting a picture of myself taken via photobooth, while blogging.
Yesterday I said my morning prayers at 11:55, just before heading down to school. My prayer was something like, "I don't want to go down today...please help me keep my cool, especially I don't want to cry..." And then I had a thought and added, "Let me have contact with someone who will give me comfort and cheer."
So I bumped into Cassandra Barney, an artist, whose blog I have stalked for many months thanks to a tip from Kath. Cassandra, like me, devotes her time to art and family. She balances these much more joyfully and gracefully than I do.
I recognized her immediately--her short bleached hair, her artists portfolio.
So I walked up to her (we were both walking) and said, "I read your blog!" She was dear. I wish I had told her how much I enjoy Churnings and Burnings.

I don't think I would have recognized you, dear Erica, if I hadn't been on your blog. You're not THAT strange.
How fun to run into such a wonderful person! Glad it lifted your spirits. Also, I love your bangs. :)
