This morning was my second day attending my new swim team. I've spent a year in graduate school (sitting down all day and eating from the fast lane) and now have an extra 10 pounds to prove it. Thus the swim team. The embarrassing details from my first day of class include, coming without goggles, in the wrong kind of suit, not being allowed in the lanes because I couldn't swim strait and nearly drowning in the middle of the pool. Next day I came with goggles and a snazzy speedo suit and my coach, a cute college girl with short blond hair, worked me like crazy, telling me when to adjust my stroke and instructing me to swim 100s 200s 400s. This lingo is all new to me. I'm whupped by the end of the hour but happy. Tomorrow my coach is going to work me harder. I can't wait until I'm good enough to get a lane.

So, do you have a Jantzen now?
Spencer! It's so nice to see you on my blog. No, I don't have a Jantzen. If I could buy a Jantzen like the one in the picture I would have one today, but the Jantzen suits I see around are made for older women.
good for you. I can't swim very well and have always wished I could but was too embarrassed to get lessons at my age. You inspire me!
hey now that you know all of the lingo could you come to my pool and give me lessons?
I would Love to!
Yeah how is it that we all ended up lousy swimmers? I wanna take adult swimming lessons, just as long as I can wear something inflatable.
