But I digress. When we go to Moab or Bryce Canyon, we like to stay in the KOA Cabins and here's why: it feels like camping! Except with really nice bathroom facilities, a shower, a community sink to wash all of your dishes, beds with mattresses (you bring your own bedding), a porch swing and in Moab, a swamp cooler. But it still FEELS like camping because you cook with brickets, eat at picnic tables, and gaze at the stars and there is red dirt everywhere. Perfect.
We decided to hike power damn which is a 40 minute hike to a waterfall and pool which you can cliff dive into. This hike ended up taking us 5 hours because I followed the wrong fork and wrong river. We ran out of water, got sun-burned and Ann-Kathrin ended up with poison ivy. Welcome Ann-Kathrin! You didn't know we would put you through an initiation. (Either did I.) We didn't even make it to the pools. The pictures below are from other pools of water.
I love Moab. So much.
Max and Mira begged me to take them to Double Arch. It was magnificent.
And once again the wild worked me over until I felt that God loves me infinitely. Like every drop of water coming off those falls were just for me. Like I am good just the way I am.
