This morning I am suffering from pre-menstrual-syndrome. It is silly to me that I am suffering in this way. Isn't PMS for hot-headed teenager girls? Or for overly emotional twenty somethings who are in the thick of raising small children while being simultaneously ignored by their career building husbands? But here I am, far too mature for PMS (do I not almost have a masters degree? And can I not talk at length about Roland Barthes? Am I not nearing forty?) and spending the early hours of the morning crying, and then being really angry at republicans, and then crying again, then wanting to move, then wanting to go on vacation, then wanting my damn bike right now, then not wanting to live like the budget crunched students that we are for the next who knows how many years, then wishing someone at church would talk about Jesus, like just to mention His name once a month would be a great improvement.
Sehr Emotional.
Next time I bring up girl issues we'll talk episiotomy.
And Chantel's boobs are infinitely interesting.

I can't talk at length about whomever that person was you mentioned. I wish I could.
I am really inspired by your writing. Just wanted you to know that. I appreciate your words and insights, as they seem to either speak to me or inspire me to be something better.
I'm not sure that PMS ever disappears. Or maybe it's replaced by homicidal tendencies. I want to gun down a few people each morning.
I always thought I was above PMS too, but no, I definitely am not. Also, my life is so the emotional twenty something in the thick of raising small children while being ignored by my working a bazillion hours husband. Sad.
Can't wait for the episiotomy discussion. Although Chantel's boobs sound more interesting. Tell her I said HI.
It's just not fair. I am that 20 something type of PMS you described right now. I hate feeling completely out of my mind every month for a week. Bleh.
that was me by the way:)
PMS??? No such thing. That is just something women use to excuse being bitchy.
ACTUAL statement said to me by a guy I used to work with.
Every time I think I have a handle on it, I have a particularly bad month.
I love being a girl.
