On Monday the herd of elephants will be back in my classroom. For now, I am decorating my room which is one of the most satisfying parts of being a teacher. I love stapling lots of color on my walls with quotes and images and little phrases to live by. I'm going to drag Charles to my classroom on Friday to take pictures so that I can show you 'cause I'm just that proud.
As for the herd of Elephants--I'm pretty excited to meet those squirrely kids.
I should put up a sign that says "Beware of the 2nd Year Teacher," because the students last year trained me up good on all the ways 9th graders can dish out crap and I'm not taking one ounce of it.
Also, those students last year showed me just exactly what 9th graders can do academically, and it's a lot! So beware ninth graders. You're going to learn like crazy.
