I am so excited to eat this in the morning.
Tomorrow I have a substitute and my students will read sections of "The House on Mango Street" by Sandra Cisneros while I sit in the principal's office. He has paid for me to have a substitute so that I can spend a day sinking my teeth into the curriculum--a much needed task. It is so easy to just start filling teaching days without making sure that the curriculum standards are being taught. I'm certain that end of day tomorrow I will feel equally overwhelmed by everything I am not teaching, and excited to incorporate more units/lessons/starters into my day. Mainly though, I am excited to go to school in jeans, eat snacks, and work on the computer all day.
We are studying Romeo and Juliet this month. "But Soft! What light from yonder window breaks?"
Here's my personal plan for February.
Start exercising.
Throw a party.
Paint my T.V. room and T.V. hutch.
Read, read, read.
Clean out the garden beds on a warm day.
Go to all those doctors I should see.
Spoil my family on Valentines day.
Give Anne a really awesome 18th birthday.
Adios Amigos!
