My Today

Got up at 7:45. Woke up the kids, made them breakfast, bundled them, sent them on their way to school. Went to the garage to find my phone. Oops, Charles you left you car light on, take my car, just be home in time for the party. Kissed Charles goodbye. Ate a yogurt then a cookie. Filled tub with water, got in, too hot. Felt like I would faint. Sat on the edge of the tub and read the first ten pages on Chekhov's, "The Privy Councilor." Water cooled. Got in the tub. Read more pages of Chekhov's story. Heard the doorbell ring. Not worth it. Unless it is a package from Germany containing dark chocolate. Worth it. Not enough time to dry off. Put on snow boots, robe, nothing underneath. Answered the door. Remembered another time I answered the door in such a state. Hi Bishop. A package, but not from Germany. From Amazon. Opened the package. Ah, yes. The fairy tale book and the book on Debussy. Back in the tub. Finished Chekhov's story. Read the second chapter on Debussy. Got out of tub. Let Cairo out. Ate another cookie. And then another. Looked for real food. None worth making. Maybe an egg later. Put on lipgloss. Combed hair. Back in bed. Still not dressed. Facebook. Blog.

German dark chocolate was sent off this afternoon. 10-12 days. Terribly sorry.

Oh Erica. When we die, someone will still be around to live like us.

I look forward to days like those when I don't have tiny feet running all over my place demanding attention, food, diaper changes....
