This is the bike I am totally crushing on. For me, a bike has zero appeal if it is for the self-flagellation of lotojack or a triathlon. Athlete's bikes are entirely stripped of cute. I wouldn't be caught dead in yellow-black spandex and on an Argon 18. I want a bike that allows me to wear a summer dress and go to the store, to work, to pick up the kids, or go on a date night. I don't want to worry about the damn chain. My future bike is made for people who ride their bikes in a suit and trek all over town. Let's face it, I want to be just like the people in Finland--and the rest of Europe for that matter, riding their bikes all over and in style.
And for that matter let's just say that I love myself some Obama.
But I wish we would let the car companys die and instead buy every American a bike.
And put in some bike paths.
And grow gardens instead of roads.
And sing Joni Mitchell songs.

I'm just wondering how you're going to pick up your kids on that thing. I can't see Mira or Max sitting too comfy in that basket... well maybe Mira.
I guess the kids will have to have their own!
You know what else is so cool about that bike? It has a light! I want a light on my bike.
OOOOOhhhhh that is one cool bike.
Hi Erica,
I have loved getting a glimpse into you and your life--half a life later. I can relate to a lot: 4 children, grad school with children, democrat in salt lake, aspiring writer. My initial poking around inspires more questions: what kind of writing do you do/want to do? Where/what do you want to teach?, etc. Anyway, just wanted to say hi and best of luck with everything.
